The start is always the most difficult, but once you get started, you will get there in time. I'm sure you will create a beautiful language Yellow!

After that, it comes to creating words. Also have existing languages as your source of inspiration, but you want to narrow them down to a similar language group, like celtic, germanic, slavic or any group of your choice. Use Google translate, play around, choose what 'sounds' most right to you. In time you will sort of establish a rthym to your word structure, then things will start to come to you. Also check some of David Peterson's videos on YouTube, they are quite useful.

Then, you really want to choose one existing language as your base, this will be the skeleton of your language, you don't have to copy all the grammar, but you really want to set your sentence structure, is it a SVO, or VSO, or OSV? I choose Irish, which is a VSO language, as my base. Then have a read through that language. You really don't have to be an expect of that language, just need to know how the grammar works, you don't have to Copy the grammar rule to rule, rather a reference.

Ah thank you Saralyn and Yellow! As for how to create a language? I'm still learning, but I can tell you how I did it. First, you need to have an idea of what do you want your language to sound like. Mine is highly inspired by Tolkien's Sindarin, I want an ethereal other-worldly feeling of the Fae language, but not quite the same as Sindarin. If you're not sure, not a problem, try to listen to as many languages as you can, eventually you will find the right 'feeling'.
