Speaking materially: the silhouettes in the background, the dense vegetation, water and water lilies floating on it, the tail and the ripples created by the fin ... everything is phenomenal! I love that book, and Huxley's quote is spot on for this amazing artistic piece. The silhouette in the background is amazing, and the mermaid's pose is excellent. I love how you made her tail, the scales are so iridescent and I love how her fin comes out of the water. The longing in this is so poignant it almost hurts. This is so absolutely perfect. <3 Brilliant job!
