| One year ago today, a classmate of mine died. He was young and a genius, and no one really knows exactly how he died even now. However, we do know that he died of natural causes. Even though I didn't know this boy very well, it was evident to me that he was going places. He would get into a prestigious university and likely end up with an equally high profile job. Not only that, but he was incredibly kind and friendly to everyone he met. His death affected my entire school and I remember the halls after we received the news well. Silent. Completely and utterly silent. Afterward, all of us received these blue rubber bracelets telling us to remember this boy, this friend to everyone. I know I'll never forget. ~Gwenn |
