'The Order of the Burning Star' are the external spy network that keep tabs on other kingdoms and their goings on. Auri-Sovall has always been peaceful, but they still need to protect themselves from nations that are less-so. Never wear a uniform, even when in their home kingdom. Secretly, this Order's name refers to the special lanterns that they hang outside their meeting places.

'The Order of the Ashen Road' are the internal spy network for the knights, collecting information not only on the people of the kingdom, but also keeping tabs on the different knightly Orders themselves. Also the kingdom's prime enforcers of justice as well as the recruiters of new knights. This girl would be a member of this Order, and has the rare combination of being both sole-bound (as all the knights are) and possessing Tracings (the magic tattoos on her face).

'The Order of the Crystal Pool' protect Mt. Aurore and the shrine of the Barrier Keepers. There is a dreamworld tree that grows in the midst of the shrine and many pools of shimmering mists to help it live in the human world. The mountain has many man-made apparatus for collecting more mist, and as it's such a valued magic resource, these harvesters need to be carefully guarded.

'The Order of the Bronzed Rod' protect the expansive and sparsely populated northernmost region and often help herd and protect the livestock that roam there. They keep mostly around the civilized areas, so creatures that escape from the dream world often roam freely in the wild lands in between, making this region very dangerous.

'The Order of the Resin Axe' protect the east where traditional values are held above all else, especially those belonging to a particular tribe that's never fully accepted the knights and the High Seat as their leadership but accept their protection anyways.

'The Order of the Golden Sword' protect the west, where not only are the largest cities found but also have the most problem with rifts to the dreamworld opening so many of them are among the most elite fighters in the knighthood. Are sometimes hired on the side by wealthy nobles and merchants that live in these areas to protect their goods.

'The Order of the Iron Shield' are the guardians of the southern border which is the only way in or out of the kingdom. Warriors who fight as fierce as they look, and are also in charge of making sure incoming trade caravans make it safely to their destinations.

'The Order of the Silver Branch' are the protectors of the castle and the capital city, named for the branch of a dream world tree that is carried by the man or woman upon the High Seat (essentially the monarch). Also protects the High Seat whenever they travel from the capital.
