Now that's she's not actually a knight and all :P She's now all Mercy Legion! Which is kind of like being a super high-end slave but eh, she gets along with the KATEO well enough. She ended up marrying one of them after all.
With a little bit of poking from Nephis, she eventually came to realize that one of the knights, Kurian, was absolutely treating her as someone to be cherished for reasons other than her price tag. For about a year it was super awkward because she didn't really know how to respond to that. But now, ten years after arriving here, she and Kurian are happily married. Though Nephis is very annoyed at the lack of children their union has produced.
When she was nineteen she was sold to the kingdom of Auri-Sovall at several times the amount she was bought for, to be a healer in the royal courts and for the knights. She's very cynical of people treating her with kindness, and generally assumes that any time someone is nice to her, it's just because she cost them so much damn money. Many of the knights genuinely care about her though, despite her sarcasm and abrasive personality.
Dinah was sold to the Mercy Legion when she was seven in return for food and money for her village to last the winter--as is often how the Mercy Legion gets new 'merchandise'. Like the rest, she has tracings all down her back and along her shoulders to give her magic whenever she needs to call upon it, and she's eaten from the dream tree of healing.
