"So, it WAS the boat Tiger and Vedika were aboard!" Marea exclaimed, slightly surprised that her hunch had been correct. "It was. The boy in the wheelchair was seen being carried down the gangplank. He did not appear healthy. But then, the girl didn't exactly look right, either, from what I'm told," Beweneth confirmed. "There are rumors that a man and woman highjacked the crew with some sort of drug and forced them to use all of their petrol crossing the North Sea, which they can't recall now."

The half-Alfyn folded his legs under him and silently settled next to Karako. At roughly 5:30 am, the Kitsune heard a faint splash unlike the regular waves against the dock. Beweneth stood dripping at the top of a ladder down to the water, plainly pleased by the results of conferring with her fellow sea fae. She didn't seem overly distressed to find that she now had an audience of four, rather than the Kitsune alone. "The Merry Jane made port in the Orkney Islands," she said without preamble.

Robin, by nature the most diurnal of them all, appeared as if he'd like to stay as well, but reluctantly returned to the B&B with Elora and Draensil. The trio didn't talk much; they had too much weighing on their minds for light chat, yet didn't feel like discussing their serious concerns right then, either. Not knowing when Beweneth might get back with news, they stayed at least somewhat alert, so no one was startled when Robin rejoined them after about four hours, claiming he couldn't sleep.

Of course, Karako accepted, and looked about for a fairly dry place to sit that was also sheltered from the wind which had sprung up around nightfall. Marea declared that, having gone to bed early and slept late, she was perfectly refreshed and would wait with the Kitsune, but that the others should go back and rest. Mark objected. Graciously, Marea invited him to hold vigil with her if he chose. "I meant you should get some... oh, all right," he said, not really that upset to snuggle his Witch.

"When I was in the midst of the North Sea on my return trip several nights ago, I heard a sound that should not have been there: a fishing trawler, in the wee hours of the morning, far out to sea. I was tired, and I confess that I did nothing more than note the oddity of the noise, instead of going to investigate. Perhaps, however, some other Morgen may have done so. I will ask, if you're willing to remain here for... oh... probably the rest of tonight; I'll do my best to get back by sunrise."
