In answer to her underlings' appallingly wasteful and time consuming options, Kemat the Archmage had come up with this solution. "Take a boat, a sailboat if you can get one and either of you can sail, and head straight out to sea with the prisoners. Sail until all sight of land is lost behind you, and you see nothing but clouds and stars, for the incantation must be performed at night, preferably when the moon has not risen. You will then furl the sails and allow the waves alone to carry you."

The Ocean was... not properly Gaia, so the Iretmoses had some control over it... if one could call it controllable. Not the Seas, but the deep Ocean, was an extension into perceptible reality of Tiamat's Dream, that fantasy that contained the basis for all that existed, yet alone, was a remnant full of Void. Tiamat's Dream was at times a difficult concept to comprehend, yet if she were accidentally to wake, everything that was, would end. There could be order in the universe while she slept.

Of course, Kemat was the Archmage, so the actual spell would come from her. The High Priest could do no more than open himself to the energy of Apophis the Outer God, and channel it to some degree. That was what made him a priest, and her a mage. In this instance, what needed to be done was to forge a temporary connection between the deep Atlantic Ocean off the west coast of the British Isles, and the distant deep Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea at Gibraltar.
