The half-Alfyn didn't look at any of these orbs; it was enough that they were there. Silently, he chanted under his breath. Elora was fascinated. This was totally unlike the enchantments she'd taught Karako, yet, in a way, it was quite similar. Everyone, even Marea and the Kitsune, who had scrying of their own to do, held their breath waiting for Robin to announce his results. After a while, the Bubble Magician collapsed the diminutive suns into themselves, and looked up. "Sorry, guys."

"Not anymore, now that I've been caught," the fox fae answered playfully. "I guess we should begin searching for Iretmoses," Karako whispered sadly in Robin's ear. He winked, but then folded himself into an effortless lotus position and concentrated, while at the same time letting the surface of his mind drift without focus. Two bright golden bubbles appeared between his thumbs and fingertips, miniature suns perhaps half the size of Marea's tiny crystal ball. Another kindled above Robin's head.

"Everyone's counting on us. But that's exactly why we have to do this anyway," he reassured Karako. "Don't you perform magic all the time, and in public?" she asked him.
