Finally, everyone was left looking at Marea, who hadn't spoken. She'd been shaken by her capacity for violence back at the Tower. Was not killing the man outright kinder than letting him quietly bleed to death? "Eight," she said, barely audibly. "I'll have my staff. Yes, I can handle eight. Your disguises might waver a bit mid-battle if I'm hard pressed, but that shouldn't matter much after the fighting has begun, should it?" Everyone assured her that it would be a mere detail by then.

"So our purpose is basically to clear the rest of the fortress of potential threats while you duel with the Dark Witch," Mark Frost summed up. "Essentially, yes. Can you do it?"
