Reaching out, Robin encapsulated both the image of Brin and the scroll she'd touched in large bubbles. "Mark, why don't you start running numbers? I'll stop you when something... feels right." From there, it was mostly a matter of technical wizardly to tease out the two almost identical texts which were, in fact, sent from Brin's phone after her supposed death. 'I'm fine. Not dead, no matter what they say. Headed for Siberia with Hawkeye. Traitor still unknown. More soon. Love you.'

"I work with bubbles," Robin protested, but he was already thinking about ways around the problem. After a moment, he inquired, "Could you provide an image of this Witch?" Isthare got out her dark mirror and spun a hologram up from its surface. "Great. Okay... and you say the phone has just recently returned to this side, somewhere near Moscow probably, from the Twilight Realm, right? It should carry... residue... you both know what I mean... of both the other realm and Brin's own aura."

"You want me to hack this particular phone? You wouldn't happen to know any specifics about it, or where it might be located, or anything to narrow down the nearly infinite number of cell phones in Europe alone?" he asked wearily. "We brought the scroll Brin sent to Isthare," Ooneil volunteered, "which has her touch and even her signature..." Glancing at Mark's face, he finished, "...which won't be of any use to you. We were expecting a Magician, you see." Mark grinned wickedly. "Robin?"

So Isthare and Ooneil gave Robin a summarized version of what had been going on, and explained why they needed a person with technical expertise. "My Order thinks Brin is dead, but I disagree; it would help immensely if we could hack her cell phone to see if she's texted her mother and daughter," the Dark Sister concluded. "Yes, I can see that. However, I'm afraid I'm hopeless with anything that has circuits. Mark? This is more your kind of thing; can you do anything?" Mark grimaced.

"That's all right," Isthare replied, "It's a Light Sister I'm interested in finding. Do you mind if we come in? The story is a bit complicated." Ooneil and Isthare were introduced to Robin's flatmate, Mark Frost, a street performer specializing in illusion and escape artistry, who, despite seeming like an ordinary human, had no trouble taking a Lyllu and a Witch in stride. "It's London," he remarked. "Sooner or later you see everything. You can talk freely in front of me, if you like."
