Her opinion on midichlorians is that if they want to live symbiotically in her body, that's fine, but she won't have their personal privacy, or hers either, compromised by taking a blood test to count them. This has marked her as something of a rebel among the Jedi ranks. She also has strong feelings for her mother, but these are less dependent, as young Asterids are raised by the entire tribe. "They do her credit," but she hides them deeply. At the moment she has neither master nor padawan.

She is a jedi, but prefers not to advertise that too much, keeping her blue lightsaber tucked at the small of her back, where she can still access it easily; often she uses a plain metal sword and her Jedi skills as her first line of defense. She fears losing her competitive instincts and physical advantages if she remains in the soft-living "civilized" inner planets, and will therefore take many assignments to outer rim planets with more rigorous environments and more villains per capita.
