Thanks so much, rose!!! I couldn't help myself; I just had to make her!! I love her books as well, although I confess that having grown up with the TV series, sometimes I like the "soft focus" version of events better (I cry so easily, lol!)

Yes!! As soon as I saw you got the name Laura I was hoping you'd make Laura Ingalls Wilder!! I love her books SO much!! They were some of my favourite books when I was younger, and they're still good reads now!! You've made her look totally perfect and accurate too!! I love that dress!! And I really like how you put her on a prairie style background- very appropriate!! I'm sure you'll get a really great score for this doll!!:D

The original Little House books, written for elementary school-age children, became an enduring, eight-volume record of pioneering life late in the 19th century based on the Ingalls family's experiences on the American frontier. In 1929-1930, already in her early sixties, Wilder began writing her autobiography, titled "Pioneer Girl." Pioneer Girl includes stories that Wilder felt were inappropriate for children; the book's aim was to explore the differences between fact and fictionalization.
