| That thing behind him is supposed to be his (main) coat of arms, that of the Holy Roman Empire. The eagle of Germany on the left, halved with the lilies of France on the right. Also, he is wearing red as he is most often portrayed, as well as representing Britain. Please forgive my attempts at heraldic shapes! |
