My cat Paikea makes me happy, as do the wonderful worlds created by authors that I can live in just for the opening of a book. Cats and books are my kind of magic.

A doll very simple but perfectly expresses what is also one of my simple idea of happiness: read a good book! I love to lose myself for a few hours in a parallel world between the pages of a book! Thanks Falak, and I totally agree with you!! If you really want a pet, you could check to see if your mother is allergic to guinea pigs or rabbits. Ferrets are very sweet and affectionate also. :)
Books are indeed magic. I have a collection of books on my shelf that are very precious to me and my kindle goes with me on all vacations. I love animals but never had any bc Mom is super allergic to both cats and dogs hair. :(
