My OC Aeriel the fire Maia right before, and right after, telling Melkor she had decided to leave his service. Much of her hair and all of her filmier clothing was incinerated, and she was the first of the Valar to know burning.

Thanks very much CWombat!! Yes, that's what it means. I tried to think about primary burns, and then secondary burns from her flaming clothes or the hot metal of her jewelry. I'm glad it seems natural.

What an interesting concept and a great name (it means 'holy maiden', right?). The colours and transparent garments of the form on the right are very apropriate for fire and she reminds me of a flame. I like the way you conveyed burning and charredness on the one on the left; the frazzled hair is a great touch.
