Your dwarf looks slightly...devious. Like she is plotting something. Though whether it's something good or bad, I can't tell. Your hobbit looks like she hasn't quite stopped daydreaming, and it's a lovely expression. I like how many patterns she is wearing. I would expect it to look over-the-top, especially with the transparent layer over the busy bottom layer--both patterned. But it works very well. The effect is lovely and unexpected. I imagine it has a lot to do with your color choices :)
