(For @NightOwl's contest) Katherine of Valois was the youngest daughter of King Charles VI of France, she was born on the 27th October 1401. Early on there was discussion of her marrying the Prince of Wales (Son of Henry IV of England) but the king died before anything came of it, however once the prince of Wales was king the discussions opened once again and at the age of 21 Katherine married King Henry V. Together they had Prince Henry (who became King Henry VI of England). When Henry died his son Henry became King at age 9 months - Katherine wished to remarry to Owen Tudor but without the Kings consent is was impossible. When Henry was older he gave his consent and Katherine and Owen were married. At age 36 Katherine died shortly after childbirth along with her child, on the 3rd January 1437, she was buried in London in Westminster Abbey. (Cont)

(Cont) Some Historians believed that Katherine was neglected by her mother as a child, however the financial accounts of her mothers shows purchases of toys and books befitting a French Princess, and she was sent to convent to receive a Religious education.
