He said he'd heard rumors, which he couldn't substantiate personally because he hadn't been that curious about the matter, of a Nemesis Sister who'd kept the litella shackles she'd been bound with as a reminder that she'd survived. It had seemed a strange thing to do to Sharp, and since he'd heard these rumors a couple of centuries ago, the Witch in question might be dead. She would certainly be very old by now. But back then she'd lived a solitary existence, by choice, on a small Greek island.

Periodically there was a remonstrance from Fatine along the lines of, "Sharp, put that card back where it belongs, please," but by and large, there was nothing to see. It was just the Bubble Magician and the Kitsune exchanging prearranged coded signals with each other regarding which card was the best to play, and then winning outrageously, and the two Witches reported this later to Mark and Elora with faint disappointment. "Yes, but what did you learn from Sharp about the litella?" asked Elora.
