I really wanted to add a work by R.C. Gorman to this "Art is Theft" gallery/contest of The_Nameless's, because I have such admiration for his art. Unfortunately, I can't draw. So, it took me a long time to find a work of his that I could even attempt to replicate... I still don't know the name of the piece, despite my searching. But here's the link. R.C. Gorman Navaho Woman (not otherwise specified)
It's such a striking painting, and you did an amazing job with your version. The minimalism can be hard to do well, but you definitely captured the spirit of the work and the line that implies form really sells this!
Many thanks, hopebringer-jem!! I really wish I could have done one of his more famous and complete works, but I'm no good at making something as complex as a face without help.
This looks rather close to your inspiration piece, so well done! The shapes are close and minimal shading keeps it close to the painting. XD Well done!
