| NO INTENTIONAL SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 17 - There has been a... realignment... and Liri'el is stunned, but not surprised, not really. Violence begets violence. Many others, however, are shocked, some literally and to the point that they require, or at least believe they require, a healer. So Liri'el is busy. She has come to the Festival as a spectator, only, and has very little with her, yet she does what she can and soothes where she's able. Also, Liri'el is worried. She knows the Dai'rou of Kei-larr well enough not just to feel he does not deserve death, but to be anxious lest things get out of hand, there, despite his reputation as a fair governor. He is... a friend? Certainly he is a good man who has walked a fine line between benevolence and the dictates of the Emperor. After tonight, will Ketu'a be safe? (#Tanjia belongs to @Sorachan) |
