Since the Lampion Plant is native to parts of southern Europe, southern Asia, and Japan, for some reason I thought it might be fun and appropriate to dress the lampion in a sari, more or less. To be fair, India was not mentioned, and the two alternative names given were "Chinese Lantern" and "Japanese Lantern" plant. Please reference this picture.

I knew I wanted to try it as a sari when I first saw the picture with the orange sphere enclosed by gold net, but I was afraid it would seem like I was ripping off LaMantra's fabulous design. Anyway, I decided it was different enough that I went ahead and did it. I'm so glad you enjoy it!!
