First of all I must excuse to this lady for keeping her waiting for so long ... for she is more than worth to be mentioned.

Minnie Hollow Wood (ca. 1856-1930), the wife of Hollow Wood, a Cheyenne warrior. She was a Lakota woman who fought side by side with her husband against the 7th US-cavalry at the battle of Little Big Horn. Because of her valors she earned the right to wear an eagle feather war bonnet. (A war bonned isn't only something to wear, it's sacred and no fashion statement.) Later, she became an informant of author and ethnologist Thomas Bailey Marquis.
