Elsie chose a song by Yolanda Adams titled The Things We Do. Her voice of recording played and her tone was sweet. The things we say and do leave lasting impressions. My hope is that I do not waste words that I do not miss opportunities. Words inspire, edify, encourage, comfort and so I want to use my words wisely. My actions can help or hinder. I try to always think before I speak and act. Regardless of who is named Miss USA all of us will be remembered for what we said and did.

I feel you girl; I boycotted my prom, too! That hair is nothing short of amazing, and the motifs on her dress are lovely. I love her look of optimism and determination, even though I can tell that she's been disappointed. I hope that she doesn't let the pressure of the pageant get her down, and that that roving reporter doesn't mess with her self esteem.
