firstly, thanks SO MUCH for the thoughtful written out comments. Wren, Ill be sure to take all your advice, thank you. Whois, you know your right. Theyre going to a high school dance I guess! :p Sally, I am a terrible critic for myself I know but still that skirt really bothers me, the pattern looks..... ehhh.... but thank you. Im happy you think it looks good ^__^

Honestly? I don't think this dress looks childish at all, I really like it, in fact. The white belt especially is really nicely done, and I like the lace sleeves. I think we all tend to be more critical of ourselves than others, because we have an image in our head of what we think it should look like, but everyone else sees it with fresh eyes and appreciates it for what it is...

I really like the skirt, but perhaps if you embellished the neck line it would look more balanced or perhaps develop the sleeves into a bolero style jacket?? I really like the colours though. I hope this helps - it can be very frustrating when you can't develop the image you're carrying in your head. Sometimes having a break helps... :-)

:( Why does my dress look childish? Anyone have tips for making my dresses look tidier? more refined? As much as appreciate those of you who I know will be first to say "its, not, great job!" I would much rather have the criticism that will help me improve. To me this looks like a kid who scribbled outside the lines. >.<
