Galatea crept around a corner slowly, eyes searching the hallway for the source of the noise. She padded forward, her sock-clad feet squishing against the carpet, towards the moonlight emanating from the window. Without warning, a vicelike hand clenched down on her shoulder and her breath caught in her throat. She whirled around with her fists up, but dropped them once she saw it was only Lileas.

"Christ, Lileas, you scared me," Galatea huffed. "What the hell are you doing at this hour?" "I could ask you the same thing," Lileas retorted, crossing her arms and tilting her head.

"If it really matters, I heard a loud bang from my room and came out to investigate," Galatea shrugged. "I guess your sleuthing ways are rubbing off on me." Lileas made a noise between a snort and a tsk of disdain. "Ha. Hilarious. And I heard the noise as well." Galatea gave her a pointed look. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go find out what happened."
