Through out your story you've done a fantastic job showing Ursula's hopes & fears & strengths & weaknesses. She's sympathetic, yet at the same time the master of her own undoing in a way and it all feels so earned and fits so well into the offical cannon! Also beautiful working on her outfit, the details in her hair, it really shows how over indulgent she's become!

In the throws of a sudden mental & emotional breakdown, Ursula fled the merkingdom in the middle of the night & swam as fast and as far away as her tentacles could take her, trying to get away from it all, numb her mind, & escape the pain. Morgana, left to fend for herself yet again, shut herself in their house & refused to come out or see anyone. Prince Triton was crowned

(con.) to be found. "Where's Ursula? My beloved Ursula?" the elderly Vanessa would murmur over & over. "Not here, mama," Morgana would reply sadly. Then, trying to sooth her dying mother: "But I am." Her mother would pause for a brief moment, as though taking in the truth that her favorite daughter had abandoned her, only to go right back into the incessant mutterings of "Ursula? Ursula?". When Ursula did, at last, return home, she returned to find her sister weeping over the body of her mother.
