How fun!! I plan on keeping Captain Jack & the other Disney pirates in a separate universe, because mermaids in that story work differently, but I'm thinking Caribbean pirates of some sort will definitely come into play here... Also, an intriguing backstory for Ursula will be making an appearance ^^ Sort of came out of nowhere, but I'm certainly having fun playing around with it!

I once read up on the Carribean pirates, did research on them for a story I was writing at the time. What a blast! They are so interesting. Your fanfic project sounds exciting!

You're welcome! Oh heck, Disney didn't even understand why women found Johnny Depp/Jack Sparrow hot. Can't expect too much from them :P They no longer have the excuse that targetting a story to POC would be a loss, not after Black Panther. People would pay to see this. The Carribean is exciting, pirates, and even the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle!

Thank you, Raven! I know, right? You'd think a company as rich as Disney could afford some talent, some creativity, or at least some common sense. Sadly, the most valuable things in life can't be bought. Someone should tell them that; but if they haven't figured it out on their own by now, I fear they never will. The saddest part is this only took me a few hours. I was just playing around with design ideas, googling some traditional Jamaican clothing for inspiration, and violÃ ! Smh, Disney. Smh.

Beautiful! Now if Disney and so many other companies want to be serious and sincere about representation, why can't they put at least this much effort into it? This would make for a gorgeouse story!

Gorgeous!!! And that makes some sense, as I always just assumed Ariel was from around Copenhagen, or somewhere under the North Sea. Iria should at least get a direct-to-Disney-TV movie as Ariel's "prawn pal". What do you think?
