| A.k.a. what Disney SHOULD do. I would love to see a new, Caribbean-inspired mermaid princess, even if her story is similar to Ariel’s. Sadly, I was in the process of designing Iria's outfit when my computer crashed; hence why she looks unfinished :( I'll redo her soon. I’m also okay with a more faithful live-action adaptation of Princess Ariel—whether her hair is firetruck red or a more natural, deep red-brown—in the style of the other remakes. It’s unacceptable to racebend a character for the sake of political correctness. Mermaids can be black. Ariel is white. It's called creativity, Disney; you should try it sometime. |
