| Delphinia, often called Delphie or Delph, is a 23-year-old, boho-loving artist. The only child of a wealthy family, Delphie has the funds to pursue and perfect her passion for painting. After a nuclear bomb devastates much of North America, including her family's mansion, Delphie's family relocates to their summer home only to find it ransacked by thieves. As food begins running out and the situation grows dire, the disappearance of millions of people worldwide and the subsequent increase of global natural disasters prompts the rise of an eloquent leader, who joins the shattered nations together. As the world unites to form a single government, Delphie's family gives up their old prestige in exchange for basic survival.
