Ooh, this'll be interesting in the context of what we have for the magic system so far (since it's art based XD). Quick question, though, do you see the newly crafted person as a being that looks like a child, or do they come into the world adult-sized?
"Craftspeople", seen as a being above society (though they are no different than others, only in their knowledge) are those who have the ability to create new lives. An age-old process of sculpting a person of clay and rock, and then adding a newly formed seed from a flower/tree/plant/etc. (along with some sort of magic) is practiced by the craftspeople. Children are then found a place to begin their lives. A token representing a skill/ability is often included, as it is said to grant (cont.)
