#TwilightRealm and its #Witches, #Oakenlings, etc. belong to @LadyLeaf. Continuing my Three Witches story:
Kemat, the Archmage of the Iretmoses, saw immediately upon coming to fetch the Witch girl, that something had changed. The boy was still glowering helplessly in his litella bonds, but undoubtedly he must have been thinking about how to escape. Perhaps he meant to attempt to overpower Kemat? It was a laughable course of action, but the Oakenling might not, even after all these days, have yet learned that. Well, lessons were only earned the hard way by some. Nevertheless, the boy was not truly a concern. One glance was enough to inform Kemat that the young Witch was in the process of struggling to return to consciousness. Whether or not the girl, Vedika had actually accomplished that was irrelevant; it would be more difficult now to lay the compulsion back upon her. Vedika might even try a spell of her own.
