Dawn was breaking as Marea and Draensil left the Israeli city, hoping that they hadn't kept the Hallowed Madness waiting too long.

Marea kept her scry as light and feathery as she could in order to avoid setting off any potential alarms. Nevertheless, she didn't have to search hard for the etheric signature of Vedika's oracular talent. As anticipated, it was right there, along the same route the litella had taken; thus Marea had the positive verification she required. At the same moment that the young Witch finished her scry, Draensil thought she felt a faint tickle against her wards, and the pair ceased all magic abruptly.
