Many thanks, Lexia!! The Mongol styles and textiles are very bright and richly colored, perhaps to combat the bleakness of their home terrain. For this outing, Mulan has deliberately tried to dress like Mongolian royalty, but it never occurred to her that the wind might have carried her scent away to provide to the white tiger.

Your writing is so powerfully descriptive, it truely sets the scene. Also would not wish to be without a sword when hunted by any tiger! Yet again really love these outfits, the colours are really striking!

Nevertheless, Mulan was familiar with the creature hunting her on hushed pads. She could read in its expression that it would kill her without a second thought, and in fact, that it had been given her scent to track so that it might find and destroy its prey. It was too close; the beast would be upon her in a second if she tried to run. Not yet ready to die, Mulan resorted to a faint hope in order to save herself. Inside her head, she silently screamed to Yu Lien and the Jade Lotus for help.

The villagers vanished as though their shops were full of mouse holes to scurry into. Soon the street was empty except for Mulan and a shadow that was materializing in front of her, clearly stalking her, even though it wasn't yet fully visible. But Fa Mulan knew that shape well; it was a tiger. Siberian white snow tigers are bigger and heavier than their orange cousins.
