"I think a really grandiose manor house would do, anyway, in a pinch," Brin joked, and her mother and daughter both laughed. Her aunt and Isthare looked at each other, new to the High Mistress's sense of humor, and then slowly smiled themselves. "Do you have your heart set on Germany, or can we broaden our search to Switzerland, Austria, even farther?" asked Elora diffidently. "Somewhere faintly familiar would be nice, and more convenient, but I doubt we have that luxury," was Brin's reply.

"We'll practically need a castle, or at least a chateau," said Marea, not entirely hopelessly, thinking of the layouts of the fortress of the Yelaadim... utterly unsuitable... and the Sanctuary... more desirable. "It's unfortunate that we can't invite ourselves into the homes of our guests," Ynarra teased her, knowing what was in her granddaughter's mind. "I didn't mean..." Marea started, but her gran merely flicked her cheek with a fingertip. "Of course you didn't, dear. Yet it is a shame."

That brought its own complications for an outdoor location; there was no place in Europe that wouldn't be cold at the end of December, and while the Fae guests would be somewhat hardier, even they became chilled in the snow. Clearly, some sort of compromise would have to be made. Maybe they could use a preexisting pavilion, which could be semi-heated for the ceremony itself, and hold the reception in a nearby building, assuming one could be found with adequate accommodations for a large crowd.
