And then there was the music. At least four small bands were playing different melodies in their own separate areas, as well as a few individual performers. Yet, instead of setting up an ear-splitting cacophony, it all miraculously blended into a weirdly seductive harmony that made it almost impossible not to want to dance. As retired and shy as she was, Elora found herself unexpectedly singing along with the songs she knew the words to, and even some that she didn't. The mood was contagious.

There was plenty of food, since it was extremely rude to show up empty handed to any Lyllean affair, but particularly a wedding. The variety of delicacies was even more tempting than usual due to the fact that Isthare was known to be expecting a child, and therefore could not imbibe even mild mortal alcohol. Fae liquor passed from hand to hand like a ball in some wilder form of a children's game, liberally consumed by everyone except the two mortals. Indeed, the very air sparkled with bubbles.

Oddly enough, no one thought it was hypocritical of Ooneil's kin that, while none of them especially wanted to promote his marriage to a Dark Sister, every single one of them wished to participate in the celebration of their happiness. So they were all there, waiting... Or rather, they'd actually started the festivities a bit before the arrival from the Sacred Willow of the bride and groom. By now the party was nicely underway. And, as it was only slightly past midnight, they had all night.

And that was it, really. The whole ritual took an amazingly short time. "You are One. Be joyful," pronounced Queen Lylith, and she kissed each of them in benediction. "Congratulations," added Elora, embracing Isthare tentatively. "You look absolutely radiant; your aura is nearly visible, it's glowing so brightly." "All right," said Fatine, her normal exotic mystery melting from her like a shadow in the noonday sun as she spun everyone, even Elora and her own ruler, around. "Now we party!"

It was very touching, nevertheless. Fatine laughed like chimes. Elora, still emotionally raw, cried. The new husband and wife noticed neither as they were being blessed by the Lyllaen queen. The Sacred Willow bowed and swayed low over the couple, seemingly sheltering them of its own volition.
