Belandvyn descended the steps first, bow drawn. One moment the Yeled at the base of the staircase was yawning, the next fletching sprouted from his throat. He dropped like a stone. The Maenad whirled to face a somnolent Yalda fumbling with her crossbow in the doorway, however, Tylyr's throwing knife lodged just to the right of the woman's center chest before she loosed a second arrow. That made two Yelaadim down. Still wary, the Faes continued on to the next lower level.
In the entrance hall below, Mark dueled furiously with another Yalda, almost his height and a bit faster, yet he was gaining ground. Robin was confronted by a silver haired Yeled. Taking a simple approach, the Bubble Magician encased his enemy's head in an opaque pink bubble, dodged, and slammed the man against the wall. |
