That was ridiculous, of course, but people were adamant about it. Everyone at the Sanctuary found these murmurings alarming, because, although the Fae might view a surviving Alu Sage as something slightly more interesting than a curiosity, any other faction that heard news of a golden eyed man would likely wish to capture him and use him to vie for power. And what happened in Seaddhu, unfortunately didn't always stay in Seaddhu. Still, how do you fight a rumor once it's well established?

And then there was the mystery of the gossip coming out of Seaddhu. It had become gradually more specific. Now it was whispered that an Alu Sage had been seen somewhere in Northern Europe. That was too close for comfort. Yet, there was also a puzzling counter-rumor that steadfastly maintained that he had been spotted, yes, but in the Twilight Realm near the Middle East. Ironically, no one believed that he could use a portal without being detected, so the man couldn't simply have traveled.

These pastimes, however, couldn't fully occupy Ynarra's mind, and she worried about Marea walking into a lions' den of Yelaadim, and now especially Brin. From her daughter's follow up phone call, it appeared that the still unknown Traitor was actively pursuing Hawkeye, and was ready to eliminate anyone who got in her way. The elderly Candeliana Witch had no doubt that the Traitor was the inky black spirit who Brin had sensed in Red Square, and she was at least a High Mistress to remain hidden.

She and the serene deer spirit had immediately bonded over their shared love of plants, and Ynarra's stiff joints were somewhat improved due to an herbal poultice concocted by the gentle healer. The two could often be found strolling the grounds together, deep in either conversation or companionable silence. Similarly, Ynarra felt an affinity with the Huldra, Ingerior, and despite the Fae woman being an immortal, couldn't stop herself from thinking of the Dorch dryad as a good, sensible girl.

Despite her granddaughter's admonitions, Ynarra had indeed made her way down to the kitchens, but she certainly hadn't "invaded", only showed the proper respect that is natural between excellent cooks. Consequently, she and Madame la'Chandour had done a bit of experimenting with traditional ethnic pastries. Also, the Sanctuary possessed a truly lovely, and magically practical, garden. Upon discovering this was the domain of Master Bai, Ynarra of the Green Thumb wasted no time in meeting him.
