"Stefan?" Brin whispered up at the one with a black wing in place of his other arm. "It's Uriel, now," he replied with the faintest of smiles. He looked to the Morrigan bearing the scythe. "It can happen when you're new," she said, not without compassion, "We are at our leisure for a few more minutes. Speak with her if it comforts you." Hawkeye withdrew his hand from Brin's elbow, guessing correctly that this man was a former husband, but his golden eyes remained full of concern for her.

"There are two Witches," Brin pronounced mistily, "One dark, and one of Stygian black, they are separate, but now converge on this area. I also see two pairs of Morrigans, however they do not appear to be here for us." "Oh good," Hawkeye said, almost sardonically. As one of the pairs of soul collectors passed by, they came close enough for Brin to recognize the Dark Angel, and she gasped. Her aura wavered perilously. Two arms reached to steady her simultaneously, yet from very different men.

Basically, she'd just made herself into a giant beacon for anyone or anything seeking her... yet in that state, Brin was also exquisitely sensitive; no Nephilian or Fae could hide from her no matter how well cloaked. It was extraordinarily dangerous in and of itself, and the inevitable confrontation when the Dark Sister or Sisters found her, would begin with Brin weary as well as emotionally overwrought. It would be Hawkeye's strength that she would have to count on until she recovered enough.

"If I can," Brin vowed. Then, with synchronous deep breaths, like people about to plunge into cold water, they crossed over the border and appeared at the edge of Russia's Red Square. Without any outward sign, Brin stripped naked as she made her way to the crowd's center... psychically speaking, of course. First she divested herself of her shields, turning them inside out into parabolic broadcasters like satellite dishes. Next, she spun her aura out, away from her body as far as she dared.
