Well, here is my unconventional mermaid, based on the Green Sea Turtle, which is not, in fact, green at all, but so named because the layer of fat it has just beneath its shell is greenish in color. It is found widely distributed around the globe and can weigh up to 300 lbs, which is rare in a vegetarian sea turtle. Here, Olivia's top and midriff represent the markings of the head and neck of the turtle, whereas you can see both the carapace (top shell) and plastron (bottom shell) as her tail, above her flippers. The background color of the shells is a yellowish peachy tone; I wasn't just being lazy. As always, if you like what you see, please remember to vote with crowns!! Thanks!!!!

Gorgeous use of patterns and textures on the model! I am so impressed with the fish on this maker! I particularly love your pale blue anemone (made out of hair draggies?) and your corals.

Thanks so much, Lisa!! I made her upper legs the upper shell and her lower legs the lower shell to keep from having a completely globular mermaid, but it does maybe look a little strange...
