In case anyone but me has seen the film "Strictly Ballroom". I love it. It's funny, and romantic, and the costuming is so much fun! Anyway, Fran, the "neophyte" who has been dancing flamenco with her family since she was small but only ballroom style for 2 years, approaches Scott, ballroom champion who is suddenly without a partner for dancing his own, unapproved steps. And they proceed to set ballroom dancing on its ear, but in a good way!

Thanks so much, ubeta, and it's always a pleasure to hear from you!! Fran is a little more modest than some of the ladies in the film; they must have really had fun designing the costume that was entirely made of fake fruit. :D

Well as I shared I will check in on the showcase to comment and crown every entry until it is full. I am elated that you continue to create dolls for this showcase. This is fabulous. I didn't see the movie but you have created a beautiful ballroom gown for this dance. The ruffles are nicely done and it even implies movement. The black beading is a lovely addition. I must give two pretty crowns because it is so exquisite. An two accurate crown for perfectly adorning her for the ballroom.

I've seen it! My parents are tournament dancers (latin and standard) and they like watching dancing movies. My mum even hung a lot of posters in their training room ^^ Anyway, this is spot-on.
