An update of an old doll for the "Alter Ego Contest" by @DysMalLexia. This is a pretty rough OC; she's based on a dream I had where the Princess longs to escape her confining role and move among the people as a Fool.
Sometimes I am the princess,
with fine jewels and silken gown;
at others I wear motley,
and play the clever clown.
For I have learned ventriloquy
and can parse a regal phrase,
while turning flips and somersaults,
far below the dais. |
