There's quite a trick to holding your scroll and your wand in one hand while writing with your quill in the other. Normally you don't have to do this, because you don't need to cast "Lumos" to see what you're writing, but when one has detention, one expects challenges.
So... best detention ever! It was all due to the chocolate frog in my pocket (in case of rogue dementors or catastrophic potions classes), that leapt at Professor Singh, causing the large telescope to swing and break her nose... which admittedly disrupted class, although her nose is as good as new now if not slightly better.
Astronomy is the only class at Hogwart's that could be taught by a muggle, and this year, due to the Headmistress's "Outreach Exchange Program", a carefully selected young muggle astronomer named Sarasvati Singh is filling the post. I'm taking dictation regarding her experiences in the magical world so far. She was fascinated when she learned I grew up in Hogsmeade! #HouseCup2017 |
