"You're right. And there's no time to be lost in finding the other teens. Miss, I want you to take Maia and White Rose back to the site where my husband and I found the first girl. We were supposed to meet Silver Fox there, along with anyone he discovered, in an hour and a half, but I'm going to continue on around the coastline. I don't want to risk it getting dark before everyone is located and warned. Being apprised of the danger may not do much good against Jade River, but it's all I've got."

"Presumably a pirate captain would make many enemies, and I could understand politically driven hostility directed against you as Ambassador from the Island Archipelago, but unless Jade River is a career assassin, which I sincerely doubt, I can see no reason for him to want to eliminate you," Sable assesses.
