She doesn't notice when she first starts to rest her eyes against the sun for increasingly long, herself. The Governess would certainly take measures to counter her own drowsiness if she were to do anything so obvious as yawn. However, as it is, Sable doesn't attach any particular significance to the heaviness of her limbs, or for that matter, the unnatural stillness of the ship's captain and her husband, until it is too late and her head is nodding. Jade River's smug smile is her last sight.

When, one by one, the young people begin to shut their eyes for longer and longer periods, Governess Sable smiles inwardly. It is, in her opinion, a sign of adulthood that one shifts from considering naps a nuisance to finding them a luxury. And it is safe enough to let the teens slumber for perhaps an hour; Jade River is himself lost to consciousness for the time being, and she is dutifully acting as guardian over them. Moreover, Shooting Star and Silver Fox can be alerted quickly at need.

Everyone finds a palm tree to sit leaning back against, although some choose to share a larger trunk, like Silver Fox and Estel, or Syeha and Amen. Normally the teens would talk quietly among themselves, but the presence of a stranger in their midst puts a damper on desultory conversation. From her slightly elevated vantage point, of course, the Governess has a good view of everyone else. Jade River drifts off to sleep almost immediately, however that is neither unexpected nor alarming behavior.
