If the Governess has any thoughts or feelings on the matter, she doesn't allow them to show. She does, however, consent to join the party instead of remaining behind with no purpose. The longboat has a breach in its hull, so they will have to wade through the tide pools and swim a comparatively short distance to reach the other island. Maia, of course, is a strong swimmer, and most of the others are moderately proficient; only Amen foresees having difficulties, but he's been practicing often.

As for Syeha, being the only one left out of the expedition would be boring and idiotic, even if it weren't the captain's orders. Not being socially inept, she realizes that the other two girls are miffed at her, which naturally makes her annoyed with them in return. Nevertheless, they're her friends, and perhaps once the group is on the other island where there are no distractions and they must interact with each other, relations between her and White Rose and Maia will smooth themselves out.

Amen and Makto are more reluctant to leave the rehabilitation of the Firebrand, since they are certain that an extra pair of strong hands, or two, can only be a valuable asset. However, neither boy truly feels right about letting the three girls walk into potential danger without them. Yes, of course, Shooting Star and Silver Fox will accompany them and provide protection, not to mention the newly discovered magic of the Governess, but somehow that doesn't count. Plus, it will be an adventure!
