Moon Shadow indeed returns via portal to her small children and husband, all of whom are blissfully happy to see her. The other plains women ask after Amen, and about Silver Fox's process, and regarding Syeha in general. Consensus is that this will be good for Silver Fox.

Moon Shadow is nobody's fool, and realizes what has been growing between her two young friends, but is canny enough to know that forbidding them to see each other would be a very foolish and inflammatory thing to do. Probably, at their ages, or apparent ages in Amen's case, this will all blow over if it is neither helped nor hindered. If not, well then, the older woman believes that their emotional bond deserves a chance to display its strength. Now, however, she feels it is time to go home.

Silver Fox himself is having a wonderful time, except for the headaches after consumption of "liquid", and Amen has no trouble seeing a resemblance in him to both his sisters. Now, of course, Moon Shadow is able to return to her beloved family, and Syeha... should... be going home. Strangely, all four eat together for a week, and then Moon Shadow pronounces that Silver Fox is enough adult supervision if Syeha wishes to stay for a while longer, again assuming that her mother, Syura, approves.

Still, it is Silver Fox's theory that whatever remains stable and constant, is likely to be the truth, therefore he asks Amen to "pose" for him repeatedly while he constructs a model of the life-size essence he will eventually produce. The blue djinn boy is more than happy to comply, and knows that Silver Fox is being very generous and possibly even risking mild addiction to the "liquid", but he can't help wishing that he could share some of that time chatting with the lively and lovely Syeha.

First, however, Silver Fox must know not only what the body of Amen looks like as a human, but moreover the "shape" of his soul, and this is the incredibly difficult part, of course. There is a concoction that will assist Silver Fox to visualize this, yet it also causes hallucinations as a side effect, and one must be very meticulous in separating the real from the fanciful. Not trusting the giant rabbits with pocket chronometers is a vital first step. Also, it's good to watch what one eats.
