Thanks so much, Falak!! I used to watch re-runs of the Burns and Allen show on late night TV when I was a teenager. She played a good-hearted goofball, and she did it extremely charmingly!!

I thought I was familiar with most of the old time entertainers but I didn't know about her. I'll have to ask my parents if they have anything of hers to watch. Awesome outfit and microphone!

Thanks very much, NightOwl!! George Burns, for all his later reputation, only cheated on her once, briefly, and felt so terrible about it that he never did it again. I love Gracie!!

When he died 32 years later at the age of 100, Burns' remains were interred at her side in 1996; the marker on the crypt was changed from "Grace Allen Burns - Beloved Wife And Mother (1902-1964)" to "Gracie Allen (1902-1964) and George Burns (1896-1996) Together Again". Gracie Allen has many famous quotes, but my favorite is: "Never place a period where God has placed a comma," used in her last letter to her husband. *Some consider Gracie's non-blue eye to have been brown.*

Thanks so much, LadySky!!! Gracie is one of my favorite performers of all time!! Like many ladies, her hair color and style varied... depending on the times. I chose this one from the majority of color pictures of her. Oh what a cute outfit! I really like the navy blue color with black trim and white lace, it's so lovely together. Also her her is incredible, love the color and the style. Also great microphone and stand! (Love her eyes too!)

Burns and Allen went on to enjoy a wildly successful radio career during the '30s and '40s, which transformed into a television show from 1949 until Gracie's retirement in 1958 due to health concerns. She was the love of George's life and the couple adopted two children together. Fun facts about Gracie: she was born with heterochromia, one blue eye and one green eye; her birth records were destroyed in the California quake of 1906 so her age was in doubt; she never said "Good night, Gracie".
