"We don't know how much time we have before your mother returns," elaborates Summer Wind. "No, there is nothing."

Ifrit the girl immediately comprehends that her other self must have a very complicated and elaborate plan in order to confound Zephyr's wily, though impulsive, mind. However, she need not understand the plot; the contingencies would have been thoroughly thought out by her adult self and their friends. All that is required of the young djinn is to be somewhere accessible in order to be rescued. Hence, she is racing towards her rooms, where she met with the human women, Summer Wind and Syura.

Now she billows out of the hole in the side of the bottle and stretches, a free djinn! Or almost free, since she is still imprisoned in her mother's wind tunnel of a home. As young Ifrit speeds through the corridors, Amen, struggling only slightly to keep up, apprises her of all he knows about what is going on. That isn't much, but it is enough. At least one of her selves has come for her! The girl doesn't believe for one second that those bonds were real; she was deceiving Mother as well.

She had fashioned it so that it was perfectly reflective of its opposite side, creating the illusion that one was looking through it, when in fact one's sight had only been diverted. Furthermore, the girl had cemented it into the neck of the bottle like a cocoon, just in case Zephyr should try sticking a finger in the hole in the glass. Scrunching herself into a tight ball, she had then climbed inside the egg and finished walling herself within. And it had worked! Her mother had been fooled.
