A remake of this WIP doll: http://www.dolldivine.com/Pixie/SaralynArati-2887254 It still may not be finished, but I'm not sure what to add. Basically above the banquet table is the romantic tragedy, whereas below the dais, the farce of real life goes on.

When Princess must take the lead, the poor fool is subject to seizures and periods of forgetfulness.

The scene opens to a princess, doe-eyed and perhaps a bit simple, dressed in an impossibly big green hooped skirt. "I am the princess" she says, when the farthingale opens and out she rolls from between it's curtain-like edges, "But I am also the fool" says the same girl dressed as a jester.
