Although she always has the support of her own family, Liri'el's in-laws have never approved of her. Most of them blame her for not having any children, in spite of not wanting her genetics mixed with theirs. Many of them hope she will remarry so that they can cease to acknowledge her, but only to someone that they consider to be suitable. They would do whatever they could to avoid Liri'el outranking or disgracing them.

Thanks so much, Sorachan!! Now I can officially call her Tanjiian! I wasn't sure you'd like the white hair. Liri'el has had to learn to accept being stared at, but her skills as a healer make her respected despite her "mutant" genes.

Thank you so much Pearlsdiner!! I really admire your work! In my head, Liri'el normally wears pretty but fairly practical clothing as a healer. However, she gets dressed up for social occasions to try to placate her late husband's exacting family.
